Story Session & How it works:
Family Documentary Photography in Lawton, Oklahoma with Liz Perez
She made that!!

As a parent there's a lot of little moments that I notice and think I'll never forget, but often I have.
I think how cute is that they're wearing brother's hand me downs.
How they reach on tip toes or a stool to brush their teeth.
How they ask to help and be apart of all the adult things you do like cooking and dishes.
How they want to be big, but have big emotions that need a momma's hug to fix.
And momma... YOU.
How you've changed and now handle it all. How you sometimes have to hide to breathe. How you are juggling being a taxi, chief, showers (yes, b/c I'm in a phase that's hard to get), pets, wife. Often I pass off my camera or phone to get in a frame and they're NOTHING like I make for him. So yes I splurge to have us documented and photos made where I'm in them too.
Let us hold this phase a little longer imagery.

What to expect:
Expect lots of fun
Lots of laughs
Lots of hugs, kisses, and snuggles.
Tell me about your family.
What things you're doing right now? what would a Saturday morning look like for you? What are some things you want to remember right now? What are some things that are getting on your nerves?
What are things you'll miss one day?
If you need ideas keep going to the bottom of the page where I've shared with you something that might spark an idea.
This is a kid driven experience. Letting them be little and parents get permission to play and live in this moment. My photography style is a lifestyle photojournalist approach that moves casually and edited beautifully. I can help you with prompts and things to do while focused on connection and emotions.
The benefits of an in home session
A fun experience
In this case the military is soon to move Albert and Kristin to another country. She's made this beautiful quilt for her momma who's coming to visit for one of the last times.
She wanted that story. This memory! This gift of gift giving.

FAQ
What if we're boring and you have nothing to make a picture of?
Well....I understand this concern, and I flow with the moment. We will talk together or have activites that your prepared to do together for a lifestyle experience if makes taking photos more relaxed.
That could be you know I'm coming on a Saturday morning to photograph kids in pjs and barefoot, them helping with making breakfast, yes eating that, getting kids dressed and out the door, for maybe a walk, or a park time.
In my experience kids will tell me what they want me to make a photo of and when you jump off screen to spend time together you'll have things to photograph the creativity, the game, the water play, the walk the dog, etc.

How many final images can we expect to receive?
There's no limit on that. The longer we're together the more you'll have. An average back is about 120 photos including portraits, candids, details, and artistic edits.
I do offer mini sessions for previous clients.
