It's the last baby, and you know it. Those feelings hit very differently. Trust me I know.

You hold them a little longer, you soak in the tiny toes while you can.


You're starting all over. You've done things differently this time.

"I didn't mean to become the crunchy mom" she yells in full labor pains going all natural for the first time.

Would you want a photograph of the space you fell in love with your baby? A photograph of that newborn life that's a blur, but also so important. Where you kissed his tiny face, held feed your tiny baby while your milk is just coming in and it's in the painful stage. Thank goodness that too is fleeting.

I made this photo of Courtney in her space while she feeds the baby here her family feeds her. It feels so important to me to document what happens behind the scenes that can be forgotten.

The details that only you will pay attention to

This home is where the you've landed in the military life. This crib is something your husband's family has made and it's been passed down from his dad. The girls are in awe of the baby and take turns wanting snuggles. Your community sends you snacks even when you said you didn't want a meal train.  

The tiny details of your newborns' feet making your hands look huge. The day your friends gifted you a newborn in home session and you worried about the things like matching outfits and a clean house.

These are the heartfelt stories our home holds. Priceless to have.
